This rare Civil War Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) officer membership badge is a remarkable piece of American history. The badge, marked “J.K. Davidson, Phila.”, features blue and gold enamel with two oak leaves and is accompanied by a silk 13-star United States flag. Dating to the late 1800s, this unique find offers a glimpse into the era following the Civil War. The badge measures approximately 1 1/2″ x 1/2″ and is in very nice condition and good working order. The flag, measuring 2 3/8″ x 1 1/4″, retains its integrity despite several age-related rips.
