Antique Victorian Gold Washed Shell Cameo Pin – Hand Carved Floral Filigree, Lady Profile
This lovely antique Victorian gold washed hand carved shell cameo pin is a beautiful example of vintage jewelry craftsmanship. Unmarked brass with remnants of a bright gold wash, it weighs approximately 4 grams and measures about 1 1/8″ x 7/8″. The pin features intricately crafted brass filigree in a ribbon pattern that surrounds a hand-carved shell cameo. The cameo, measuring approximately 3/4″ x 1/2″, is secured with 8 prongs and depicts the profile of a young lady with upswept hair and draped bodice. While it shows signs of wear consistent with age, it remains in nice condition and functions well.
