Vintage WWII Japanese Navigation Instrument – Rare Mahogany Case

This vintage device, acquired from an esteemed veteran, showcases intriguing craftsmanship and historical appeal. Measuring 7 1/4 inches in length, 3 7/8 inches in width, and 5/8 inch in thickness, it is crafted from a material that appears to be mahogany, complemented by a plastic covering. A unique feature is the sliding center piece, adding to its functionality and visual interest. The device also features a circular plastic section, once joined with another circular disk, now separated but still present.
