This stunning antique travel compact from the 1930s is a rare find! Marked inside with “MONDAINE”, “New York, U.S.A.”, it features two compartments labeled “FACE ROUGE, Pat. Pend.” and “FACE POWDER, Pat. Pend”. The rich green enamel case boasts a raised oval portrait of a young woman painted in vibrant detail. Inside, you’ll discover a mirror and two compartments: one contains rosy pink rouge while the other is empty, ready for your favorite powder. A round puff (not original to the case) is included for application. This beautiful compact shows signs of gentle use and opens and closes smoothly.
