Own a piece of history with this 2005-P Marine Corps 230th Anniversary Silver Dollar Proof! Struck in .900 fine silver at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin commemorates the 230th Anniversary of the United States Marine Corps, established in 1775. What makes this particular coin special is that it appears to have been purchased at a special event by the original owner, who inscribed “OCT 10, 2005” on the front of the Certificate of Authenticity (COA). Inside the COA, you’ll find autographs of the sculptors who designed both the obverse and reverse of the coin. The coin comes in its original capsule with inner box, outer box, sleeve, and COA. Please note a small rust mark on the COA (see photo).
