Lionel Postwar Freight Cars – Sunoco Tank Car & SP Caboose (6565 & 6257) – Running & Parts
Offered here are two (2) postwar Lionel Freight trains from the late 1940s: a No. 6565 Sunoco double dome tank car and a No. 6257 SP caboose. The Sunoco tank car has been run but remains in good working condition with no rust on the frame and all steps intact. It features Type 3A trucks with slide shoes and the tank itself shows only normal handling marks, free of damage. The No. 6257 SP caboose is primarily a parts piece as the front roof is broken off. However, it retains a good chassis and trucks with no signs of rusting. This lot is sold as-is with no returns. Please examine the photographs carefully before purchasing.
