This antique hardcover book, published in 1903 by Hurst & Co., features Daniel Defoe’s classic novel “Robinson Crusoe”. The striking red cloth cover features the title and author in bright gold lettering on the spine. Measuring approximately 7 3/8″ x 5 1/4″ x 1 1/8″ thick, the book opens to a signed fly page, “Presented to Martin Babb, on his tenth birthday, November 21, 1903”. While the cover page and first page are firmly attached, there is a tear at the spine. The book contains 452 tight and secure pages, complete and showing the natural yellowing associated with age.
