Vintage 1920s Conscience Fund Coin Bank – Speer-Rosefelt Calendar Bank Co. – Marble Finish

This vintage ‘Conscience Fund’ coin and currency bank, manufactured by the Speer-Rosefelt Calendar Bank Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a charming addition to any collection. While its exact manufacture date is unknown, it bears a 1920 patent date on its base. Measuring approximately 3 1/2″ x 3 1/16″ x 4″, this bank boasts a dark green and black marble finish. It’s in excellent condition with some minor finish rub along the edges and dime slot, consistent with age. A unique triggering device near the bottom of the quarter, nickel, and dime slots likely advanced the date mechanism. Two holders near the bottom of the front suggest it may have originally featured a bank nameplate, though none is currently present. The money chamber appears to be empty and unfortunately lacks its original key.
