This exquisite vintage Japanese pendant necklace dates back to the 1960s. The pendant, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, boasts a beautifully etched gold pagoda scene within a scalloped border. Marked on the back with the signature ‘AMITA,’ this piece weighs approximately 8.1 grams and showcases the artistry of Japanese Damascene etching. Accompanied by an unmarked chain, original to the necklace, measuring approximately 16 inches in length with a slide hook clasp. The pendant itself measures roughly 1 3/8″ from the top of the attached bale to the bottom x 1 1/8″. The necklace is in excellent near-mint condition, displaying minimal wear and functioning flawlessly.
