Offered for sale is a rare pair of 1940s screw back tiny celluloid parrot dangle hoop earrings. These unmarked gold tone metal earrings weigh a combined 9.5 grams. Each screw back measures approximately 1 3/4″ long and features a dangling hoop that measures approximately 2″ from the top of the screw back. The hoop itself measures about 1 1/8″ across x 1.5mm thick. Perched on a small platform is a wonderful tiny celluloid parrot. Each bird measures about 1 1/4″, is yellow with a green breast, and has a red beak and black eyes! Each earring is in very nice condition, a testament to their enduring quality.
