This exquisite antique baby spoon, crafted by the renowned Reed & Barton silversmiths in 1894, is a testament to timeless elegance. Marked with the Sterling hallmark and the patent date October 9th, 1894, it also bears the hallmarks of an eagle, ‘R’, and a passant lion, confirming its authenticity. Weighing approximately 24.7 grams and measuring about 3 3/8 inches in length, this spoon features a captivating curved handle adorned with a charming winged cherub holding stars. The back of the curve is delicately engraved with “FGG”, adding a personalized touch. Despite showing signs of gentle use, the spoon remains in very nice condition, a true heirloom for collectors and admirers of fine silverware.
