This antique Priests Christ with Saints relics crucifix rosary is a remarkable estate find. Crafted in Italy, the crucifix is marked “ROMA” and features a silver metal construction with intricate wood inlay. The crucifix measures approximately 1 3/4″ x 7/8″ and is adorned with a silver medal depicting Christ and Mary. The rosary boasts oval seed beads, approximately 3/8″ x 1/4″ in size, strung on a chain that extends to approximately 31″ with an additional 7″ for a total length of 38″. A unique feature of this rosary is a compartment concealed at the bottom of the crucifix, accessed via a small screw. Inside, you’ll find debris and a label reading “TERRA CATACUMBARUM”, hinting at its historical significance. The rosary exhibits signs of loving use, including a cracked seed bead, but remains in nice original condition. This is a truly exceptional antique piece, perfect for collectors and those who appreciate religious artifacts.
