Victorian Sterling & Gold Wash Porcelain Pin Brooch – Young Couple Scene

This delightful antique pin hails from the Victorian era and is clearly marked “STERLING” on the back of the setting. It retains remnants of a gold wash and measures approximately 1 1/8″ x 1″. Six double prongs secure an oval porcelain piece inscribed “30” on the back. The porcelain features a charming scene of a young couple dressed in colorful period clothing; she holds a parasol, he a walking stick, and he is presenting her with a flower. While it has been worn, the pin is in very nice condition with no chips or cracks. There is some loss of the painted bright gold edge to the porcelain, but it functions perfectly, opening and closing easily. Please note that our prices are firm and we do not accept offers.
