Vintage Mexican Sterling Silver Bangle Bracelet with Abalone Inlay & Enamel
This vintage hinged bangle bracelet hails from Mexico and showcases a unique combination of sterling silver, black enamel, and iridescent abalone inlay. Marked with “HECHO EN MEXICO” and an Aztec Indian symbol, along with “STERLING, 925″, this piece weighs approximately 14.5 grams and measures about 7 5/8″ around the outside. The front features a 3/8” wide band of black enamel inlaid with abalone in elegant leaf shapes. The back is hinged and opens and closes smoothly, measuring approximately 2.5mm wide. While showing signs of wear consistent with its age, this vintage creation remains a beautiful statement piece in good working order.
