This exquisite antique Edwardian cameo, dating back to the 1890s, is a stunning example of Victorian craftsmanship. Crafted from gold-plated cut steel, the frame encloses a beautifully carved shell cameo depicting a young woman with a unique head covering adorned with braided pieces flowing down the side. Marked on the back, though the inscription is not currently legible, this piece weighs approximately 8.3 grams and measures about 1 1/2″ x 1 1/4″. The cameo is bezel set and secured with twisted gold-plated wire, showcasing the intricate detailing of the period. Versatile and elegant, this piece can be worn as both a pin and a pendant.
