Vintage 1950s Jonne House of Schrager Black Glass & Gold Bead Necklace & Earrings Set
This exquisite vintage set from the 1950s, crafted by the short-lived yet highly regarded Jonne House of Schrager, features a faceted black glass and textured gold bead necklace and matching clip-on earrings. The earrings, each marked “JONNE” on the clip-on arm, are crafted from silver-tone metal and measure approximately 7/8″ across. They showcase wired faceted black glass beads accented with textured bright gold beads and tiny gold bead separators. The unmarked necklace, measuring approximately 22″ long with an additional 3″ adjustable end, consists of two strands. The longer strand measures approximately 23″. It features black faceted beads that graduate in size from approximately 13.5mm to 7.5mm. The bright gold beads exhibit a plaid pattern with a filigree cap on one end and a tiny gold bead on the other. The set is known for its substantial weight and exceptional quality. Both pieces display signs of gentle wear consistent with their age but remain in very nice condition and good working order. The Jonne company, part of the “House of Schrager,” operated for a brief period in the 1950s, resulting in limited examples of their superior craftsmanship.
