Vintage Ward Bros. Sterling Silver Celtic Thistle Brooch with Rhinestones
This exquisite vintage pin or brooch is crafted from hallmarked Ward Bros. sterling silver and adorned with shimmering foiled rhinestones. The intricate design features a Celtic thistle motif, accented by openwork detailing and two applied thistles. Each thistle boasts a bright, sparkling prong-set foiled topaz-color glass stone, measuring approximately 9.25 mm across. The pin, bar, and locking clasp are in good working order, ensuring a secure and easy closure. This vintage piece weighs approximately 9.25 grams and measures about 1 5/8″ across. A small spot on the front, possibly from a previous test, is the only mark on this otherwise very nice vintage brooch. Hallmarks on the back include “WBs, Thistle, Three Castles, B Date Mark”.
