Vintage 1949 Patent Horse Race Intaglio Cufflinks – Unique Reverse Carved Glass
This vintage pair of cufflinks features a unique patent dated 1949 and custom cloth covering. Each cufflink is marked ‘PAT. 2,472,958’ on the arm, indicating its historical significance. Weighing a combined 12 grams, they boast a top or face measuring approximately 7/8″ x 7/8″. The dark blue material covering the silver metal base reveals an intriguing reverse carved glass intaglio. Each glass measures 5/8″ x 3/8″ and depicts a steeple chase scene with a red rider wearing a black cap, skillfully jumping a white fence over grassy terrain. These pre-owned cufflinks exhibit minimal wear and are in excellent working condition.
