Antique Brass Cameo Photo Pin, Early 1900s – Hand-Tinted Celluloid Portrait
This beautiful antique brass cameo photo pin dates back to the early 1900s. It’s a lovely example of vintage jewelry from a small estate collection, featuring unique and handcrafted pieces. This unmarked brass pin weighs approximately 4.6 grams and measures about 1 1/2″ x 1″. The beaded edge and pin with C clasp extending beyond the edge are characteristic of its age. The centerpiece is an oval bezel-set celluloid photo hand-tinted, showcasing the profile of a young woman with a draped bodice and upswept hair. Secured by four prongs, the photo is in very nice condition. As expected with an item of this age, the gold wash has worn away, adding to its vintage charm. It’s in good working order, ready to be enjoyed as a treasured antique find.
