Antique Wilcox Silver Plate Bridal Basket Card Tray – Rare Quadruple Plate Floral Design (Circa 1900)
This exquisite piece is a rare early 1900s Wilcox Silver Plate Co. quadruple plate bridal basket card tray, circa 1900. Marked on the bottom with “QUADRUPLE PLATE, WILCOX SILVER PLATE, 6726”, this footed tray measures approximately 9 inches across and stands 3 1/2 inches high. With the handle extended, the height reaches 9 inches. The tray boasts a scalloped border adorned with delicate florals and features a raised repoussé disc in the center, showcasing swirls and additional floral motifs. The center of this disc is engraved with “M.C.T.E.”. It remains in nice condition, exhibiting a lovely soft patina that has been preserved rather than cleaned or removed. Ornate bridal baskets of this caliber are highly sought after, particularly when found in such excellent condition.
