This is a rare vintage 78 RPM 10-inch record from the 1940s or 1950s. The record is clearly marked on the label “MFG. BY PLAYBOY RECORDING AND PUBLISHING CO., CHARLESTON, N.C.”; PL 1001 “CRYING IN MY DREAMS” VOCAL BY “DUB” PHILLIPS WITH THE DIXIE PLAYBOYS! The second side features “PLEASE REMEMBER I LOVE YOU”. The record is in the original brown paper record sleeve and appears to be in very nice condition. According to Billboard, The Dixie Playboys were a popular hillbilly group in the late 1940s and 1950s. This recording is difficult to find.
