Vintage Art Deco Watch Box by W.L. Stone (1927) – Gold-Painted Celluloid, Winged Eagle Design
This exceptional Art Deco watch box, dating back to 1927 and bearing the patent number 1,619,822, is a remarkable find. Crafted from gold-painted celluloid, it features a striking winged eagle in relief on the cover. Inside, a red velvet pad awaits its precious contents. The lid also boasts a gold foil sticker advertising “W.L. Stone & Son Jewelers, 210 High St., Pottstown, PA.”. Measuring approximately 4 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ x 1 1/4″, this vintage piece is in wonderful condition for its age, with only a slightly loose hinge. Sold as-is.
