Antique Brass Cameo Photo Pin, 1900s Estate Find – Hand-Tinted Celluloid Photo
This lovely antique pin dates back to the early 1900s. Crafted from unmarked brass, it weighs approximately 4.6 grams and measures about 1 1/2″ x 1″. The pin features a beaded edge and a C-clasp that extends beyond the edge, indicating its age. The centerpiece is an oval bezel set with a hand-tinted, hand-inserted celluloid photograph of a young woman with an upswept hairstyle and draped bodice. The photo is securely held in place by four prongs and remains in very good condition. Consistent with its age, the gold wash has worn away, adding to its vintage charm. The pin is in good working order and presents as a fantastic old find.
